The history of the International Collegiate Programming Contest can be traced back to 1970. Each team was equipped with one computer and was required to complete 10 to 15 programming problems with English instructions, using programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python, within a time limit of five hours. Since 2010, approximately 50,000 to 60,000 students from over 3,000 universities in more than 100 countries and regions have participated in the contest annually. It has become one of the most influential competitions in the global computer education field and has consistently ranked fourth among domestic university competitions for many years. After five hours of intense competition, two teams dispatched by the Software Training Base for College Students of the School of Information Science and Engineering of our university performed exceptionally well, both winning awards. Among them, the team consisting of Zhao Hantao, Huang Boyi, and Wang Bo won the Silver Award; the team consisting of Yang Chen, Fang Zian, and He Mu won the Bronze Award. All the participating team members demonstrated the enterprising and pursuit of excellence of information science students with their outstanding performance. It is reported that the Software Training Base for University Students of Ningbo University, as a provincial-level extracurricular practice base, has been committed to cultivating students' innovation ability for a long time. Under the guidance and support of the school and college, the coaching team organizes systematic training and practical drills during winter vacations, summer vacations, and weekends, guiding students to win more than 300 provincial and national awards, providing strong support for the cultivation of high-end innovative talents in the school.
